Republic Day 2021: India to show military might, cultural heritage at Rajpath

India will show its military may on Tuesday with Rafale fighter jets participating within the Republic Day flypast for the primary time and the armed forces showcasing T-90 tanks, the Samvijay digital warfare system, Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets, amongst others, mentioned the Defence ministry on Monday. “School children will perform folk arts and crafts displaying skills and dexterity handed down from generations — Bajasal, one of the most beautiful folk dances of Kalahandi in Odisha, Fit India Movement and Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” the ministry famous.

 

A 122-member proud contingent of the Bangladesh armed forces can even march on Rajpath on Tuesday, the ministry mentioned.

 

“The Bangladesh contingent will carry the legacy of legendary Muktijoddhas of Bangladesh, who fought against oppression and mass atrocities and liberated Bangladesh in 1971,” it added.

 

India is presently celebrating the Swarnim Vijay Varsh – Golden Jubilee 12 months – commemorating the nation’s victory over Pakistan within the 1971 battle that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

The Indian Army will showcase the primary battle tank T-90 Bhishma, infantry fight car BMP-II-Sarath, mobile autonomous launcher of the Brahmos missile system, multi-launcher rocket system Pinaka, digital warfare system Samvijay amongst others throughout the parade on Tuesday, the Defence ministry famous.

 

The Indian Navy’s tableau at the Republic Day parade this 12 months will showcase fashions of Indian naval ship (INS) Vikrant and naval operations that have been carried out throughout the 1971 India-Pakistan battle.

 

The Indian Air Force (IAF) will showcase fashions of sunshine fight aircraft (LCA) Tejas and indigenously developed anti-tank guided missile Dhruvastra on its tableaus throughout the parade, the ministry famous.

The parade will begin with President Ram Nath Kovind taking the salute, the ministry added.

 

Seventeen tableaux from varied states and union territories, specifically, Gujarat, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Delhi and Ladakh will likely be showcased throughout the parade, depicting the geographical and wealthy cultural variety of the nation, it mentioned.

 

It acknowledged these tableaux will show the imaginative and prescient for Ladakh to be carbon impartial, the solar temple at Modhera in Mehsana District of Gujarat, tea-tribes of Assam, shore temple and different monuments of Pallava Dynasty in Tamil Nadu, Bhakti Movement and saints of Maharashtra, and many others.
